SMILES AS NYERI FARMER’S RECEIVES SUBSIDES FOR COFFEE DELIVERED LAST YEAR Coffee farmers in Ndaroini village in Nyeri County are now enjoying after they were paid Ksh. 100 per kilogram as subsides for the all products they delivered to the factory last year.

This would be the first factory in the Central area to reach the Sh100 per kilo milestone, with an Sh180 million bounty flowing throughout the Mathira constituency, despite the low prices most industries in the region realized this year. Mr.Joseph said that to get better terms for the farmers, he also bargains directly with buyers about prices. He continued by saying that he occasionally follows up with extension officers hired by the business to make sure farmers are using excellent agricultural methods on the land. According to Joseph, some farmers are currently picking their coffee products from the farms because this year they are planning to produce a yield of about 2.5 Million Kilograms.
